Entrepreneurs related to alloying of gold were invited to attend the program. About 20 entrepreneurs participated in the program. (List is attached with this report) The program was jointly organised by EDI of India & RGJA. The main objective of this program was to create awareness on different alloys of the gold and to impart the knowledge on alloying process. Shri JaysukhbhaiAdesara, President-RGJA welcomed all participants of the program, and gave a macro view of the project with a backdrop of present situation in the units. He also gave a brief note on the program subject. Shree Riken Shah, Project Manager- EDI gave a presentation on Alloying of Gold. This presentation was all about different alloys of the gold, proportion of alloying material, colour of alloyed gold, quality of gold alloys, losses during the alloying and the suggestions to minimise the losses. This presentation was followed by an open house wherein participants interacted with each other and with EDI team. During the presentation, it was healthy discussion amongst the participation and the presenter. Some new areas have been identified to work further as per the cluster requirement like analysis of present alloys available in the market, identify the proper source to procure 100% pure copper, how to improve hardness of 18K gold jewellery (same as branded jewellery), identification of best practices in the other national / international jewellery clusters, various policies of different countries on jewellery making etc. EDI will work on these areas in association with RGJA members and try to share information on these topics. At the end Shree JaysikhbhaiAdesarathanked all participants for attending the program.
